This has taken sometime to understand, to determine the differences. Writing a sentence to the format and then comparing it to the usage has made the identification of the differences easier. The reminder to consider form as a determiner of the tense type, and then to element 'distractors' applies a logic to the process. It is becoming easier as I see English as having a logic to it, (understanding the grammatical structure) and not only thinking of it as being a creative subject. It is both. Tenses are not easy. Examples and formulas help to make greater sense of it all. I don't believe I am a master of tense... yet! I am however, far more aware!
