from this unit it is evident that both the teacher and student play an important role in the classroom inorder to realize success and progress in English language learning. the teacher has to ensure that there is a good rapport between him/her and the students as this will make the lesson interesting because the students are not embarrassed or nervous when asking questions. the teacher should also have a variety of learning activities to motivate all types of learners and to be able to monitor their progress as all learners are not the same. age, culture, life and language experiences,first language and language levels are important aspects in determining the teaching activities to be done. its easier to measure success at lower levels than mid and higher levels because the learner is usually excited to learn a new language and since teaching is mostly visual it is fun for both teacher and learner.
finally reasons for studying the langauge should also be considered to help the learner easily relate to the lesson.
