In this section, we learned about the different tests and ways of evaluation teachers can use from before the class even starts, and throughout the whole semester. At the beginning, there are two tests that are used to learn the students level of knowledge, placement and diagnostic. Placement tests happen internally before the class begins and should ensure that the student is placed correctly in the level they are at. While diagnostic tests could happen on the first day of class, and it determines what the students already know and can help shape future lesson plans. Throughout the class, it is beneficial to conduct various progress tests to make sure the students are retaining information and to highlight areas that need more attention.
