In this unit i have learnt on what students need to do with new language;get exposed,understand its meaning,understand its construction,practice and production.I have learnt that a learners receptive vocabulary is much larger than his or her productive vocabulary.Another area of focus in this unit was how i can select vocabulary to teach using ESA,what students need to know with regard to vocabulary,techniques for teaching and introducing grammatical structures.Finally it also looked at teaching language functions such as ;inviting,agreeing,suggesting among others.
