This unit discussed the different types of assessments that may occur for a language class. I learned that diagnostic tests/placement tests are usually given at the beginning of the year and are designed to grade a students level of language skill so that they can be placed in a class that is not too easy nor too hard, and with students that have similar language skill sets. I also learned about the different Cambridge assessments and external assessments.
