This Unit covered various theories, methods and techniques for teaching English; it also covered various forms of appropriate correction, feedback, and lesson flow/planning. It is important to note that the methods and techniques covered, all have pros and cons, and would be most appropriately utilized through using a combination of them for specific needs, students, or targets; there is no 'best' technique - but there are ways to use these techniques to obtain the best results. Definitions and descriptions of methodologies were presented, along with definitions, examples and explanations. The engage, study and activate stages were also reinforced in this unit - and further explained and demonstrated, with wonderful resource ideas and suggestions. Examples of lessons using these various stages, in a variety of was was also further explained, with one or more examples and ideas of/for each lesson style. Lastly, a wonderful resource for appropriate correcting styles, and how to effectively and efficiently give feedback to students was covered; this included lesson planning and grammar correction styles.
