Unit Eight addresses future verb tenses, those that involve descriptions of activity (or states of being) from a future point of reference. These likely will prove to be the most difficult to teach, due to their complexity and the sometimes subtle nuances between their respective usages. Moreover, in addition to the four "standard" tenses (simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous) the future orientation includes an additional three types of construction, of which two are actually present tenses with future applications and the third ("going to" future) is one of the most commonly used.
