Unit 13 covers pronunciation and phonology. It delves it how sounds are formed and from which area of the mouth, nasal passage, or throat. It talks about intonation and the stress of no stress that parts of a word or sentence is stressed. It also teaches the phonemic alphabet somewhat with links to where I can learn more.
I found this unit very difficult. I don't remember covering this in all my schooling but I can see the usefulness of teaching this to my students. The phonemic alphabet is particularly hard to wrap my head around. I will continue to study this so that I may correctly teach it to my students.
