This is an important lesson. It was on teaching receptive skills. It covers different ways to read and listen and how to prepare students for their reading and listening so that they can gain more from the activity and be more confident. One important point was pre-teaching the vocabulary. This means teaching them difficult or unknown words before they dive into the activity. The disclaimer is that a teacher should not do this too much because students should develop their contextual clues.
