In this first unit I have learned that there are many characteristics that encompass what makes a good teacher and what to consider about one's students when teaching them. Though there are two types of students catagorized as either 'adult' or 'young learner' this should not mean that every student in these learning groups will always behave or even learn accordingly. There may be a case where a post-pubescent younger learner will have the motivation of an adult learner with zero target language acquisition and an adult learner will have a natural grasp at the lanugage that without trying to refer to meaning in their own language. However, even though there will be diffrences in students it is, hopefully, the teacher's goal to initiate interest in each lesson they present.
