In this unit I learned about how to teach pronunciation and phonology. Thus far, this unit has had the most new concepts for me to learn, and therefore was the most challenging. In particular, it was very interesting to learn all the phonemic symbols. I have seen these symbols in the dictionary before, but have never known how to read them until now. This lesson also taught me how to better teach students pronunciation by using diagrams of the mouth, which is a technique that I will definitely try to use.
