Unit 20 covers the common problem situations that a teacher will see at some point in his/her teaching career. This covers the first lesson and how to establish rapport between the students and the teacher and between themselves. The lesson teaches about how to use warmers to get the class interested and used to thinking and speaking in English before the work begins. How to deal with and teach large classes is also covered.
This has been an interesting unit in that it puts into words how I have been teaching martial arts class for years. Depending on the level and age of the student, I have been able to help everyone grow as individuals and as a class.
