In this unit I have learned about managing classes.
The unit contains a definition of classroom management is;
The skill of organising the class, individual students within the class and what takes place in the class.
The unit covers a variety of subjects relating to managing of classes;
A discussion of things that a teacher should consider in order to achieve success for both students and the teacher with in the classroom such as the arrangement of classroom furniture (desks and chairs), the grouping of students for activities and various other contributing factors that should be considered when organising activities.
Gives a range of helpful teaching techniques and tools to aid and assist in the managing of classes. Highlighting the importance of the use of teacher’s eye contact, gesture and voice; and the importance of increasing STT and decreasing TTT.
It also covers problem behaviour, some problem preventing strategies and how to continue to maintain classroom discipline, how to establish and maintain good rapport with in a class, tips on how to make sure all students are equally involved in class activities, giving instructions.
