In this unit, I learned what it might be like to teach various special groups, including children, students in multilingual classrooms, and students seeking to learn business English. Clearly, these three types of students are very different. A teacher must use very different approaches depending on the type of student. For example, overall it seems to me that when teaching young students, the teacher must be very excited and enthusiastic at all times, and focus less on student mistakes and more on student participation. In contrast, when teaching students who are seeking to learn business English, it is okay to get a bit more serious, and have much more specifically targeted lessons depending on hwat the students want or need to learn.
