At this unit I've discovered that there are 4 things that students need to know when they are learning a new language, such as: be exposed to it (vocabulary); understand the meaning of the words, understand the usages and structure and be able to produce and practise it (speak, write). The unit has showed some ESA types of lesson and examples of activities to engage the students to the content that we are teaching. I agree that it's important to ensure that students are motivated and that the new language has to be introduced in a balanced way.
