Unit 7 returns to teaching techniques and does a very good job with examples of ways to teach vocabulary and language functions. It gives an example of a "straight arrow" ESA lesson in dealing with teaching vocabulary, a "patchwork" ESA lesson for grammar, and a "boomerang" ESA lesson for language functions. It was very useful in terms of generating lesson ideas for each ESA stage so as to allow flexibility for different activities that promote motivation to continue learning and put the language into practice.
