Planning lessons is an extremely important part of teaching. Although some teachers may be able to 'wing it', for newer teachers like me, being able to plan appropriate and effective lessons ahead of time will be very important. In this unit, I learned that it is very important to give the lesson a solid structure, but also leave room for flexibility if lessons take more time than anticipated, the students are having more trouble with a component of the lesson than anticipated, etc. This unit will be very helpful for me in the future as a plan lessons for my students.
