The future tenses represent one of the most challenging areas of English grammar for their variety of structures used to convey different meanings and ideas about the future. There exist seven main arrangements of future time, three of them (future continuous, future perfect and future perfect continuous) directly deriving from the future simple tense. Among the most widely used forms can be noted also the 'be going to' future form and the present continuous. This one, together with the present simple, are both examples of a particular use of present tense structures with a future meaning.
