Unit 6 gave an overview of past tenses. By far these tenses were easier to comprehend than the present tenses, but they equally should be studied by the teacher to ensure they can answer questions and confusion that is likely to arise from students. These tenses did not seem to had overlapping verbs. For example past simple you add -ed; past continuous you will see 'was/were'; past perfect you will have 'had'; and in past perfect continuous you will have 'had been'.
