Unit 14 delivered an introduction to the use of course books and supplemental materials in a classroom lesson. By the end of this unit I discovered that though course books are great for maintaining structure and shows the students progress, they shouldn't be used by themselves and some sections can and/or should be switched out for more interesting activities to keep the students interest in learning. This is due to the fact that depending solely on the coursebook can becoming boring to the student and therefore they can lose motivation with a variety of materials and activities to perform.
