The section labeled "Which method is best" is, in my opinion, absolutely correct. It meets my observations as a teacher (5 year experience), and I plan to utilize the ESA teaching formula, with the points made in "Which method is best" as my 'common denominator'. I am assuming more will be said about spelling in future units.
Last thought: It was mentioned at the beginning of unit #3, the advantages a student has if they live in an English speaking country, and the immersion that creates. My own experience from my life here in the Philippines (which teaches all public schools grades 1 through 12), as well as Thailand, Vietnam, China and 4 other countries in North/Central America, that do not teach English daily in school, has brought me to the fairly solid observation that citizens fair better economic lives if they speak English. My point is that the more regular (daily is best) classes are given, is important, and should be included in the "Which method is best" list.
