In this unit, we learned about English grammar. We did this by directing sentences into pieces. In the first part of the chapter, we reviewed the noun, verb, and object of a sentence. We then looked at each of these categories more specifically. For nouns, we studied the different kinds such as countable, uncountable, proper, possessive, and plural. We also touched upon the different types of verbs. Such would include; action, state, transitive, intransitive, irregular, auxiliary, adverbs, and infinitive verbs. Other topics such as definite and indefinite articles, gerunds, conjunctions, propositions, and of course adjectives.
I feel as if this section had an easy to understand breakdown of sentence structure. While I had some knowledge of the grammar before, this helped me broaden my understanding. It also makes me emphasize with future English learners as there are a lot of different rules to learn!
