Dear Tutor:
Well, what strikes me is that I am going to be great at the Engagement part of the lesson, and then the difficulties begin....but somehow the fun/interest has to combined. It looks like a progression that has to be thought out carefully, so it does not confuse the student, or me!
I remember moving things along when teaching math, I would sometimes halt things and quickly re-teach everything. Sometimes, just stop everything and tell a quick story about being chased by a bear, etc., and then get the lesson going again. I do not know exactly how my 'stories' are going to get worked into my lesson plan, in this part of the world, but I will see how things go. Probably have to change the huge black bear to a mean Panda bear!
FYI...That terrible mean bear got bigger and meaner every time I told the story, and how much laughter those explanations caused. I am getting some ideas about that bear and tenses. TB
