This unit analyses and compares two classes that were giving the same lesson. In comparing these two classes it can be found that both classes were very different and resulted in one being much more successful than the other. From this we can learn that the teacher's attitude is very important for creating a comfortable and engaging lesson. It's also noticeable the amount of elicitation the second lesson used which positively engaged the students and built a clearer understanding of the grammar being used. The second lesson also was able to link the activities together with more fluidity and successfully used the ESA technique to build a well rounded class. Another big difference was the way in which the teacher engaged with the students such as learning their names and eliciting answers from individuals without favouriting one particular student over the other.
