As I am myself a keen Student in learning the essentials of what makes a Good Teacher, I feel that I have learnt much in the course of studying this unit by understanding the fundamental dynamics of what governs a successful Teacher and Students relationship. For example, although the often traditional role of 'teaching' can be seen in what constitutes the 'Manager' role, the dangers I have learnt posed by overusing this model (i.e. not making use of other roles such as 'Prompter' and 'Assessor') can also in turn impact upon the role of that of 'Model' and, as such, ultimately affect the motivation of the Student/Learner. Therefore, having learnt and understood the many different roles that a 'Good Teacher' not only can draw upon but embodies in his or her task to teach English to the Student/Learner in this unit, it has greatly enhanced my knowledge in how best to motivate and teach students, corresponding to their own abilities and desire to learn.
