Dear Tutor:
What has given me the most difficult was questions 8 thru 12, the sequencing of ESA lesson parts. I hope that in practice will be easier to know what goes where, and when during the actual lesson planning. If the first Active part is to see what they know about the phone exercise/teaching point, followed by board work, I become lost which 'tool' (created material) to use next; fill the gap or word sequencing, etc. I do not know the 'weight' or 'best for here' placement of these tools. On the other hand, I will/can produce something authentic if I know what my students need before hand. I don't wish to discuss flexibility needed if the class launches into 'unknown territory', for fear of a migraine headache.
P.S. When I was teaching Business English in Mexico years ago, my students often headed off into 'wild territory', and those turned out to be the most fun/educational classes for all (me included). tb
