English is not my native language. I studied the phonetic symbols from my primary all the way to secondary school. I can still remember how I tried to pronounce the right sound and how to write the phonetic symbols. Because of the study during that time, I’ve found reading phonetic scripts very easy; but teaching students is another story. This unit study has helped me reviewed the full knowledge of English pronunciation and phonology in details. There are many technical words that I have never come across before. This study material will certainly be a good reference when I teach pronunciation and phonology.
