Unit 20 presents valuable techniques on handling large classes, some warmer ideas, and helpful tips on addressing some of the common problems in the EFL classroom. I have learned that providing more pair work activities, using controlled practice, and using role play would help motivate and engage reluctant students. I have also assimilated that using the students' mother tongue or native language is not advisable in the context of EFL learning and teaching, and that students must always be persuaded to communicate in the target language, particularly during the speaking activities.
