I consider this unit very important for all the teachers including the native speakers because many of them find it difficult to detect the things like the fall or rise of speech and suppose that foreign students will not be able to either.However,the experience shows that the majority of adult students consider the pronunciation the most difficult in English.That is why the teaching of pronunciation should be an integral part of the course.It is useful that the unit also pays a lot of attention to the areas of stress,rhythm and intonation.I have learnt a lot especially regarding some recommended teaching techniques.
