Unit 9 was about planning and structuring a lesson. It was given an overview of why lesson plans can be useful and for whom they will be most useful. That is, inexperienced teachers will have to rely more on lesson plans while more experienced teachers will be able to make good lessons with less planning. However, everybody should create lesson plans, since it will make sure that students learn about all the topics and grammatical structures they need to know at the end of the year. If want to know what you did with your students half a year ago, a lesson plan will come in handy. Also if when another teacher has to cover your classes you can show the lesson plan to the subsitute teacher who then can continue, what you prepared.
