Conditional tenses and reported speech can lead to a lot of mistakes, as there are many rules that must be respected. There are five conditional tenses, and the differences might be uneasy to understand, considering also that there are mixed conditionals. Reported speech requires an effort in understanding the exact time of the action at the moment someone is or was speaking: subjects, tenses and pronouns can vary, without changing the meaning of the sentence.
