The unit gave a video clips of lessons being taught in different ways. The second lesson highlighted effective ways of allowing students to communicate more and think for themselves in the English language. The first lesson tried to teach the language structure to the students but was more teacher oriented. There was a lack of student to student interaction and the responses of students during the lesson were corrected openly with little encouragement from the teacher. It was good to see the teacher in the second lesson work on the responses of the students to build on subsequent teaching. Also the teacher checked on the students understanding before introducing the new or existing language form that needed to be taught. Both the video lessons were very valuable in showcasing what has been covered in the last 9 units in a live teaching scenario.
