There are many parts of speech that even native speakers do not know they are using in conversational English.We learn about the different tenses during our education but sometimes we do not care to remember all the specific parts of grammar we are using.Reading through this section was a great refresher on present tenses because I have all but forgotten some of the specific rules applied to some of the tenses.Because there are so many rules involved in these forms that I myself was confused by, I can empathize more with the confusion that non native learns may face when covering this subject.
