Teaching requires a certain skill set, which can be learned and practiced. One way to organize the students' (and teacher's) learning is via lesson planning. Lesson plans can be an aid in planning (to meet goals and objectives); as working documents guiding class progression; and as a record of what the class has done and what materials have been used. After the plan has been used, the teacher will have opportunity to evaluate what was successful and what might be improved.
