The unit was about teaching speaking and writing skills, it gave an overview on the two necessary components of speaking lessons, accuracy and fluency. The unit also talked about writing skills, the fact they are the most neglected part of Tefl and the fact that English spelling in very difficult because it is not a phonetic language. Writing skills include hand writing, spelling, layout and punctuation along with the use of creative writing.
