The most detailed portion of the lesson was the parts of speech and their identities. The lesson discussed how to recognize the need for a certain one in a sentence as well as knowing the characteristics of one when it is seen or needs to be used. It was most beneficial that it further broke down the parts into their subcategories that further detailed their usage.I found it increasingly helpful that items were discussed that come so naturally to a native speaker like myself, but which we do not often think too much about such as definite and indefinite articles and transitive and intransitive verbs. Verb forms and tenses are something I use often in both my work and my personal life, but to see them dissected and explained in such a way, made it easier to digest them and elicit comfort in teaching them to others.
