In this unit we learned what are the four things that students need when they are learning new language - they need to be exposed to it, understand its meaning, understand how it is constructed and be able to practise and produce it. We took a closer look how to select vocabulary for different levels of classes and what criteria we should use when selecting the vocabulary for our classes. After we learnt what students need to know about vocabulary items. We had many examples of typical ESA grammar lessons. At the end we studied how to introduce grammatical structures and what students needs to know about them. Last section was about teaching language functions (formal, informal, tentative, technical etc. ).
