This section highlighted the importance of teaching reading and listening skills. These are both vital to a students learning and the teacher must pay close attention when creating their lesson plans. The method must take into account the objective of the lesson plan, the level of the students and the general interest of the students. This will keep them active in participation while learning at the same time. The teacher must also make sure to review any problem areas like words that need further explanation and topics the students may not understand. This must be done before any other study activities begin, to build confidence for the students. These skills are so important as they will judge how the student is taking in and processing the new information. I think this section does a great job covering all bases on these topics, with the addition of example lesson plans.
