In this Unit I have learned conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are sentences containing if or when. There are five main conditionals are as follow:
Zero Conditional. if/when + present tense, present tense. It refers to actions and facts that are irrefutable.
First Conditional. if + present simple, will. This talks about a real situation in the future that is possible, probable or even certain, once the condition has been satisfied.
Second Conditional. if + past simple, would/could/might + base form. Communicates a present or future unreal, hypothetical situation that is presently not true and is unlikely ever to be true.
Third Conditional. if + past perfect, would/could/might + have + past participle. Refers to a hypothetical past actions (or non-action) and the hypothetical past consequence/result.
Mixed Conditional. Mixed of 2 and 3 conditional clause. If + past perfect, would + base form
This mix refers to a hypothetical past action or state, and the hypothetical present consequences.
