Unit 12 elucidates the two productive skills: speaking and writing. I have assimilated in this unit that speaking and writing activities must be varied depending on the purpose of each activity. Furthermore, I learned that accuracy based and fluency based speaking activities help EFL students to become more confident in using the target language. Finally, I have understood that co-operative and competitive games must be used in EFL classrooms to engage the students and motivate them to continually enhance their productive skills.
