This unit presents various types of equipment available and their use within a classroom, as well as the pros and cons for using each piece of equipment.
Additionally, there is a large amount of internet links and off-web resources for the teacher to make use for lesson planning. They will be very useful in the planning stage, though I have not taken a look at quite a few.
For the 5000 SAT words (freevocabulary.com), I took a look and saw that it contains a list of words with brief explanations of each word. In this case, I may pass on using it (it is hard for students to memorise words and keep them in memory without the proper context).
I tried getting students (ages around 9 - 10) to memorise words in the past and after a few months, they have forgotten most of it. They put in the work, they tried their best and in the end most of their effort was quite pointless.
So I will be using other methods for students to use their vocabulary; hopefully there are better ways out there.
