In this unit I have learned the importance of being a good teacher. It is important that the teacher is well prepared for the lesson, in case there are students that are in advanced stages of the language level. Again its important that the teacher creates a fun learning experience for the students,depending on age young or adults. Each group is different hence the teacher should be able to motivate each student. Why? English as a second language is mainly on the oral part, students come of as shy when having to speak English the teacher should be able to carefully correct student because the teacher is dealing with different characters, so care is vital. This unit has helped me with understating the role of the teacher and student. How to deal, monitor or facilitate the class. Dealing with cultural differences as they also influence learning.
