This unit covers the topic of teachers and learners and their relationship in the classroom. There are many roles of a teacher and therefore many qualities he/she should have or acquire in order to provide the best learning experience. The role of a teacher should depend on several factors: age of Ss, their motivation, goal and personal qualities (such as ability and will to work in groups, for example), and on the type of the lesson and content. When preparing for a class, a teacher should also keep in mind that students are very different. The obvious difference is the age. On top of that, they are different by many factors, such as language level, experiences, anxiety, motivation.
In addition, this unit covers language levels, the Common European Framework system, basic descriptions of these levels and describes some difficulties that teachers may encounter.
