Unit 14 covered the use of course books lesson materials in the classroom. I learned the the difference between authentic ( such as newspapers, magazines, poems and songs ) and non-authentic teaching material ( such as word search, games, role-play cards and crosswords). From the material I realized the importance of creating a balance between authentic and non-authentic material. Also, the advantages and disadvantages of using course books in the classroom was discussed.
