During the first lesson, the teacher should try to establish a rapport between the students and find about them. It is also important to understand students' goals and needs. Every lesson should start with a warm up, in order to introduce the topic without getting the students annoyed. If the teacher has to face a large classroom, he will be very clear in order to make sure to be heard by everyone. A large class will be also more dynamic, that's why the teacher must be very well organized (he could ask for group leaders'help). The use of native language should mostly be avoided: if the teacher shows he knows the students' native language, it will be likely that they will try to express themselves without using English. It is also important to involve reluctant students.
