In this unit, I have learned about what makes a good teacher and what makes a good learner. The most important take away from this unit is that the relationship between teacher and student, however complex, is of upmost importance because the better the relationship, the better the outcome of a lesson or course. This unit covers what makes a good teacher, with examples such as kind, fair, and motivational, as well as what makes a good learner: motivated, experience, etc. Also included in this unit is the different roles that teachers play (prompter, manager, etc), what the are, and that teachers will be all of these things all throughout a lesson or course depending on what best suits an activity. I feel that I know have a better understanding of the learning levels and what the mean, as well as what to expect from different age groups and cultures when teaching english as a foreign language.
