This unit taught me more of the proper terms for different parts of speech. This will be very useful when trying to teach new vocabulary. As a person working in a non-English speaking country, I am often asked to teach other people English. For example, sometimes when I am conversing with my coworkers I am asked what is the meaning of a word and how do people use it. Before, this lesson I had a difficult time explaining the usage of the words. At times it was awkward because I would be asked to explain using the correct terms for the different parts of speech, but I would not be able to because I did not know them. However, now I am able to explain things more clearly, as, I now have the correct terminology. I hope to be able to use this lesson whenever I teach English in the future.
