This lesson prompted me to think about the various roles that a teacher plays in the classroom and the effects of each role on the students. Furthermore, the descriptions of these roles presented the types of activities that a teacher can plan in the lesson. Additionally, this lesson also taught me what motivates students to learn English and the differences in motivation depending on demographics and psychographics. Finally, this lesson also covered the different levels of knowledge of the English language and the appropriate tools to test each level. Overall, I think this lesson was about epathy for both the role of the student and of the teacher because of its detailed description of each one. I will use this lesson as a building block for how I structure my lessons.
