In this unit, I found the chance to see how a course book can be beneficial for an ESL class. Ever since I have started teaching I have been preparing and using my own materials and to be frank it really is a lot of work load for a teacher. Authentic materials are big help but then again one cannot use most authentic materials in a beginners’ lesson. Making a lesson plan based on a course book and adapting it sounds like the best way to teach. I do hope I’d get the chance to do just that very soon.
