This was a great unit and I learned a lot about how to teach pronunciation to students. It was very informative with regard to the provision of techniques for teaching difficult words although I found the notion of translating phonetic script or being able to read phonetic script quite tedious and I think that the indication of intonation and stress can be taught by native speakers without complicating the process with phonetic scripts that add another layer of complexity in the ESL interaction with latin scripts.
